Ladies, Get Dressed Up for a Good Cause

McFadden’s presents the Little Black Dress Event

Providence, RI (April 14, 2010) – Cute dresses, delectable food, specialty cocktails and a great cause provide the recipe for what promises to be a memorable evening as McFadden’s presents the Little Black Dress Event on Friday night, April 23 from 7 - 10 p.m.

Ladies throughout the Providence region are encouraged to wear their favorite little black dress and bring along gently used accessories (purses, belts, jewelry etc.) for donations to Dress for Success. Anyone who donates an item will receive complimentary passed hors d'oeuvres, specialty drink features and a chance to win prizes, including a Gucci purse.  Additional prizes were provided by Frances Michael Salon, Spadyssey, Stella & Dot, Athenas and Topiary Designs.

Proceeds from the Little Black Dress Event will benefit Dress for Success. Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help women find jobs and remain employed. Dress for Success promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return for a second suit or separates when she finds work.
